Bethesda have announced that the price of the Fallout 4 Season Pass will rise from £24.99 to £39.99 in the UK and $29.99 to $49.99 in the US with the promise that any price change will not come into effect until March 1st, 2016 and that any Season Passes bought before then will still be able to download the new DLCs. With these announcements, however, comes a catch. The landmass of Far Harbor itself is promised to be the biggest ever provided via DLC – a bold claim considering the size of Fallout 3‘s (2008) Port Lookout and The Pitt. Bethesda’s screenshot of Far HarborĪccording to Bethesda‘s website, the main factions for the Far Harbor DLC are the synths (artificial intelligence), the local townspeople, and the Children of Atom (a religious movement dedicated to worshipping nuclear energy).
Described as “a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency” which “leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths (…) off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world.” The whole thing sounds like a Stephen King novel set in the Fallout universe, and that sounds awesome to us. What we are really excited for, however, is the third of the announced expansions: Far Harbor. Personally, we’re not quite sure about that one… Also included is “a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!” So, essentially, Wasteland Workshop is a DLC dedicated to hunting, animal fighting and taxidermy. Wasteland Workshop, meanwhile, will give you the option of designing and building cages to capture live creatures, “from raiders to Deathclaws!” so that you can either tame them or use them in sparring matches.
While that sounds great, if there’s not an option for our robot to shout “Danger, danger, Will Robinson!” we will be very disappointed.
Fallout 4 automaton review mods#
You will have the option of hunting down said robots and harvesting their parts to build your own – with hundreds of mods to choose from, including paint scheme. These new Add-Ons, Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor, will be released March 2016, April 2016 and May 2016 respectfully.Īutomaton will see “The Mysterious Machinist” unleash a horde of evil robots onto the Commonwealth.
